Upcoming

2026 GBA–ASEAN Conference on Energy Transition and Integration

Date: 29–30 July 2026

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

With the ongoing geopolitical conflict and the resulting strains on global energy markets, supply chains, and pricing, the case for deeper China–ASEAN energy cooperation has never been stronger.

Malaysia and the wider ASEAN region are uniquely positioned to anchor a more resilient and diversified Asian energy architecture, and the capital, technology, and industrial capacity of the Greater Bay Area can be powerfully directed toward that goal.

This conference is designed to translate that opportunity into tangible investment commitments.

It convenes high-level representatives from government, international organizations, academia, and the private sector to advance cooperation on sustainable energy systems, infrastructure development, and regional integration.

» Strengthened partnerships between GBA and ASEAN stakeholders

» Identification of priority areas for regional cooperation in energy transition

» Enhanced public–private dialogue and knowledge exchange

» Contributions to policy-oriented research aligned with national and regional development strategies

This conference is being convened with clear strategic purposes:

01
Strengthening regional partnerships

02
Accelerating investment and innovation in energy systems

03
Advancing practical cooperation between the GBA and ASEAN
